Darmstadt, December 21, 2020 - Even in a chaotic year like 2020, it is important to have a Merry Christmas and a happy new year. 2020 was a rollercoaster ride also for Energy Robotics and we are happy that we managed to not only be safe and sound, but also grew our startup and found new customers, new partners and new co-workers.
Our autonomous robot software solution has now proven many times that it is creating value for our customers in Oil&Gas, by detecting gas leaks early on and demonstrating the business case of predictive maintenance. In other industries, such as Chemicals and Energy, our SaaS solution is doing hard and dangerous labor of inspecting industrial facilities. We recently won the E.ON Grid Startup Challenge and will soon deploy robots at German substations.
With our partner ExRobotics we have now 20+ robots deployed in Oil&Gas, which did 200km of inspection rounds, 20.000h of operations and collected more than 15.000 digital assets. Together, we are working on the release of the new ExR-2 robot in Q1 2021 to extend sensing and autonomy capabilities.
We also deployed a Spot robot at Merck and demonstrated that our solution can work with multiple different robotic platforms. This allows us to provide a variety of solutions to our customers in multi-floor environments. With Spot, we have performed inspection tasks in the Petro-Chemical industry as well.
We are also proud that Marc Dassler, our co-founder, is joining us now full-time as CEO which allows Dorian Scholz to focus again on the product strategy as CPO. We are looking forward to extending the team and therefore calling out to all robot nerds and enthusiasts to apply now:
